Dojo 1.0 is out!

Congratulations to the Dojo community! Version 1.0 of the JavaScript toolkit has been released. There's lots of great stuff in this release and Alex has a post up on the Dojo site outlining the new features in 1.0. One of the things that we have really been working at for this release is solid accessibility support:

  • widgets are usable by keyboard alone, keyboard and mouse used in combination, or mouse alone
  • widgets use ARIA roles and states to provide semantics for assistive technologies (such as screen readers)
  • widgets have been designed to work in Windows high-contrast mode

Thank you IBM and Mozilla for supporting Dojo accessibility.
